New web platform – Announcements

A new web platform, which aims to be a meeting point between architecture and design professionals, was launched today. 12 people and more than 30 international writers are involved in the project, which will generate weekly updated content. The web is published in two languages: English and Spanish.

Each month he will focus on a different theme. The first month is called “urban versus rural”.

“Megacities, garden communities, repopulated villages, urban landscapes, animal kingdoms; for the first edition of the website, we explore the changing divide between urban and rural environments, and how architects, designers and artists are responding.

For the launch, the authors of the exclusive content include Benjamin prosky, executive director of the American Institute of Architects-New York (AIANY); Martin Azúa, designer and founder of Numbered Store; and Patricia espinosa, design journalist who writes for XL Semanal and ABC, among others.

The content is divided into four categories: architectural views, eye on design, the future and sustainable world.

Updated inspiration is a section that publishes recommendations and news related to the theme of the month and invite the user to deepen the subject, whether it is a event, or book or movie.

The monthly themes were decided by a editorial committee of experts at a meeting held at Roca Gallery London (work of Zaha Hadid Architects) in January 2018. The seven committee members are Raya Ani and Jane Duncan (both architects); writer Jonathan Bell; architect and urban planner John Palmesino; journalist and consultant Pati Nuñez; with Roca Núria Vall-llovera’s communications manager and Roca’s communications director, Xavier Torras.
